American Expat in Texas

I'm a Texan by choice, not birth. Having lived in many other parts of the world, I found myself in the Lone Star State in 2005, just in time for hurricane Rita to pass over my newly purchased home. This blog is mostly an outlet for thoughts on politics and current events.

I will concentrate on science and technology issues next month, and try to elaborate some things I've learned in the trenches of basic science that might have relevance to the current political debate.
